For the past three months, FBI officials have been looking for a man they say robs banks and leaves in a taxicab.

They say the man, dubbed the “Taxicab Bandit,” entered a BestBank branch Wednesday on Memorial Drive in Decatur and allegedly took an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving in a yellow taxicab. Police believe he also arrived at the bank in the same taxicab.

He is also accused of robbing the same bank nearly a week before and is suspected in other DeKalb County robberies, authorities said in a news release.

Officials described the man as between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet and weighing about 200 pounds. He is thought to be in his early-to-mid-30s.

Anyone with information should contact the FBI’s Atlanta field office at 404-679-9000 or DeKalb Police at 770-724-7890. An award is available for information leading to an arrest.
