A 64-year-old Fayetteville man was charged this week with sexual battery against a someone younger than 16, authorities said.

Mario Mujica turned himself in at the Fayette County Jail on Monday. He faces a single count in connection with an incident that occurred last December, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was released on Tuesday after posting a $22,200 bond, records show. No additional details have been released.
