An incident that began with a report of erratic driving ended with a man urinating in a patrol car Sunday, according to a media report.

Yonatan Idaly Gamadeli Gomez, 27, was jailed Sunday night on several charges, including driving under the influence, after a report of his driving sparked an alert in Floyd County, according to the Rome News-Tribune.

Gomez allegedly tried to speed away from an officer who spotted his white Nissan driving on a sidewalk, but Gomez was eventually stopped.

Police said the man’s speech was slurred and his eyes were watery and bloodshot. They said he was too drunk to complete a field sobriety test. At one point, Gomez allegedly tried to grab a magazine pouch near an officer’s gun. The man later urinated in a patrol car, the paper reported.

Gomez faces two counts of trying to elude an officer, three counts of failing to maintain a lane, two counts of failing to stop at a red light, driving too fast for conditions, failure to yield at an intersection and driving without a license.
