The man told officers he doesn’t know who shot him or why, Gwinnett County police said in a statement.

The incident happened about noon Saturday on Annistown Road near the Walmart on Centerville Highway. When police arrived, they found the man in the road with gunshot wounds to his leg and shoulder.

The man told police he had visited a gas station shortly before the shooting. As he left, he noticed a green car following him out of the parking lot, police said.

The man told police he drove over the the center median and crashed into a car in oncoming traffic.

“Then the victim got out of his vehicle and began limping down the sidewalk to the road where the officers found him,” police said.
