A man is in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash in Gainesville on Friday, authorities said.

The incident happened at the intersection of Pearl Nix Parkway and Dorsey Street, Gainesville police said in a news release. A 17-year-old driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe allegedly hit a 2014 Ford Edge, which was driven by 59-year-old Terrell Brawner, of Gainesville.

The Tahoe then traveling into oncoming traffic, hitting a 2012 Ford F-550, which was driven by a 68-year-old man, the release said. The F-550’s driver was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, while Brawner is at the same hospital in critical condition after a “medical episode.”

AJC.com is not naming the other drivers, since no charges have been filed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
