May 16, 2017A man was found dead inside a Union City hotel room early Tuesday from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
Not long after, a second man who was shot in the same hotel room died at a local hospital.
The two men — Jonathan Young, 23, of Palmetto, and Jesus Monroe, 29, of Forest Park — were involved in a confrontation at the Country Hearth Inn on the 6700 block of Shannon Parkway before the deadly shooting.
“The initial investigation revealed that the two (men) confronted each other inside a room and exchanged gunfire from what appears to be a domestic type situation,” police spokesman Chris Murphy said.
It was not immediately clear which man shot first.
No one else was injured in the shooting.
