Officials say the 10-pound terrier mix was thrown from the window of a moving car on Friday night. A witness saw the dog get tossed out of the SUV in front of her and stopped to help the dog.

The witness told the Union Leader  that the dogs nails were so long they were curled up into his paw pads.

Fortunately, the dog was not badly injured and is said to be doing well.
