A College Park discount mall was raided Monday by police and federal agents after vendors were accused of selling counterfeit goods.

After undercover investigations, officials arrested several vendors at The Discount Mall on Godby Road who were believed to be involved in the selling of fake, high-end designer handbags, shoes and watches, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Jermain Payne, a shopper at the mall, told Channel 2 the raid may have been the fifth one in about 10 years.

“And they allowed (the vendors) to come back,” Payne said. “But the product they are selling should be real and not fake.”

Officials didn’t say how many items were seized, but said it was “a large amount,” Channel 2 reported.
