A Milton man has been accused of raping a woman after he gave her a ride from a hotel to a nearby pharmacy, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Randy Culbreth is facing rape and kidnapping charges, police said.

He allegedly took the victim back to his home on Birmingham Highway and sexually assaulted her, Channel 2 reported.

"(The victim) had some specific details about the car that she rode in and where she'd gotten what she needed at the pharmacy,” police Capt. Charles Barstow said, “and the detective was able to pull some video from there.”

For a while, it was all police had to work with.

Barstow said the detective, while off-duty, saw a car that matched the description and got the tag number, Channel 2 reported.

The victim identified Culbreth from a lineup.

"If it can wait without having to get a ride from somebody you don't know,” Barstow said, “you're probably better off in the end.”
