Officers and deputies are searching for two suspects accused of carjacking a Jeep SUV before crashing it into a gas station.

The vehicle was stolen from the Xfinity store off Mt. Zion Road on Tuesday afternoon, Morrow Police Chief James Callaway told AJC.com. Police officers began to chase the SUV, which crashed into a Chevron gas station nearby.

Two suspects got out of the wrecked vehicle and ran away, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. A photo of one of the suspects running away was provided by the sheriff’s office.

Callaway said K9 units have been deployed and are searching the area.

Anyone who sees the suspects are asked to call 911.
