A Florida man was arrested on Monday after deputies said he was high on flakka and attempted to drive his car into the Indian River County Jail in order to visit some inmates he knew inside.
Patrick Rempe, of Vero Beach, drove into the front doors of the jail, barely missing an officer outside, before ramming into a fence and attempting to climb over, WPBF reports. Rempe, 24, began to climb the fence, but became ensnared in the wire and had to be removed by emergency services.

Rempe told deputies that he was "high on flakka" and just wanted to come "visit friends who were in the jail," according to WPBF.
"Flakka is poisoning our youth," Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar said to WPBF.
Rempe suffered minor injuries and currently faces charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, battery on a law enforcement officer, three counts of felony criminal mischief, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and driving under the influence.
