An officer shot at two men who allegedly tried to run him over Monday evening after he pulled them over for reckless driving.

The driver and a passenger were heading into oncoming traffic when the officer pulled him over about 6:30 p.m. into a nearby car wash, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Once the officer stepped out the car, the man rear-ended the police vehicle, nearly running over the officer. The cop shot at him, but missed.

The car fled to a nearby house where it flipped over multiple times and crashed, police told the news station.

Police arrested two men who are in their mid-20s, Channel 2 reported. The investigation is ongoing.
