DeKalb man, 18, killed in overnight shooting

DeKalb County police are investigating an overnight shooting that left an 18-year-old dead.

The shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of a gas station on Glenwood Road near Austin Drive.

Family members identified the victim to Channel 2 Action News as Quantavious Armstrong.

Early Thursday, friends of Armstrong stopped by the crime scene to add items to a growing memorial to the victim.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting or said whether any suspects have been identified.
