DeKalb man arrested, accused of downloading thousands of images of child porn

A Stone Mountain man was arrested Thursday after a monthlong child porn investigation, authorities said.

John D. Montgomery, 65, of Stone Mountain, faces a count of sexual exploitation of children after thousands of images of child porn was found on his computer, DeKalb police said.

The department’s internet crimes against children’s unit executed a search warrant in the 2300 block of Flintlock Drive on Thursday, leading to the arrest. No other information about the investigation has been released.

The incident report associated with this arrest was also not made public Thursday night. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Montgomery was booked into the DeKalb County Jail, where he remains without bond, according to online records.
