Decatur man faces murder charge after allegedly stabbing man 33 times last year

A Decatur man was arrested Tuesday after being accused of a 2018 homicide that left a man with 33 stab wounds, authorities said.

Gianni Maziah Harris, 21, faces a malice murder charge in connection with the November 2018 death of Troy Cosby, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The incident happened on Brockett Trail in unincorporated Clarkston.

The victim was stabbed 33 times with a small knife, according to the arrest warrant that was issued Monday, the sheriff’s office said. Harris was found in Lithonia, where he was arrested without incident.

No other details have been released.

He remains in the DeKalb County Jail without bond, records show.
