A man is dead and another is in jail after a weekend stabbing in northeast Forsyth County, officials said.

Jesus Olvera Gonzalez, 40, was arrested on a murder charge in connection with the incident, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Cpl. Doug Rainwater.

Forsyth deputies were called just after 5 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 5600 block of Archer Avenue near Cumming, he said.

Authorities found the man dead inside the home with multiple stab wounds, Rainwater said. People inside the home identified Gonzalez as a suspect in the stabbing and he was arrested in the home’s driveway, he said.

Gonzalez is being held without bond in the Forsyth County Jail.

The stabbing victim’s name has not been released pending next-of-kin notification.
