1 dead, 1 injured after dispute leads to shooting

Police in Atlanta said a dispute between two groups  led to an early-morning shooting that left one man dead and another man injured Sunday.

The shooting happened about 2 a.m. in the 600 block of Metropolitan Parkway in Southwest Atlanta, according to police spokeswoman Stephanie Brown.

One man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Brown said. A second man was “alert, conscious and breathing,” at the scene, she said.

An investigation is ongoing.
