What started as a larceny call at Home Depot ended with a chase on I-20 in Douglas County and two arrests, the spokesman for the sheriff’s office said.

Two people jumped into an SUV and sped off after a deputy responded to the store’s Thornton Road location about 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, Sgt. Jesse Hambrick said.

The deputy pursued the SUV onto I-20, and used a “box maneuver” to stop the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

No one was injured, he said.

The duo was taken into custody on unspecified charges. Their names have not been released.

Hambrick could not say what they took or tried to take from Home Depot.
