A 90-year-old man was pulled from under an off-road vehicle in Cherokee County on Tuesday morning, a fire department spokesman said.

About 7:45 a.m., Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a 911 call about a man trapped under a utility vehicle at 910 Essic Road in the Clayton community, spokesman Tim Cavender said.

Crews found that the man was under a John Deere Gator off-road vehicle, according to Cavender. They reportedly had the vehicle off the man in about five minutes.

The man, who was not identified, was conscious, alert and appeared to have no major injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton to be checked out.
