Cops: Would-be burglar shot by DeKalb County homeowner

Feb 6, 2016A DeKalb County homeowner shot a burglary suspect Friday night near Ellenwood, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Bosenberry Way. The homeowner — a detention officer with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office — shot one of three suspects that had entered her home, Channel 2 reported.
The two other suspects ran away but were caught a short time later.
No further information was available. Messages left with the DeKalb County Police Department were not immediately returned.
