Cops: 4 teens attack elementary school students on DeKalb bus; 1 in hospital

Nov 18, 2019

An 18-year-old, a high school student and two middle school students face charges in DeKalb County after they attacked students on an elementary school bus Monday, authorities said.

One of the students who was attacked was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with undisclosed injuries, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The incident happened on a school bus on Hollyhock Terrace, which is about a mile from Snapfinger Elementary School, Channel 2 reported. The four suspects allegedly stormed the bus during its morning stop and attacked the children for unknown reasons.

The school sent a voicemail to parents Monday afternoon that said, in part: “During the morning ride to school, a group of middle and high school students boarded the bus to assault an elementary school student.” School officials told the news station that several students were attacked on the bus, but only one was taken to a hospital.

It’s unclear what charges the four suspects will face and what schools the three students attend. The 18-year-old is not a current student in DeKalb, Channel 2 reported.
