Two Roswell parents face charges after allegedly leaving their toddler home alone so they could go shopping — or watch a movie, depending on who you ask.

Now the Division of Family and Children Services is investigating the couple, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Roswell police arrested Romi Aziz and his wife Felicia Michilene after they admitted they left their 2-year-old girl home alone in her crib for more than an hour, spokeswoman Lisa Holland told Channel 2.

The child’s grandmother found the toddler and called police, and Aziz allegedly tried to blame his wife, Holland said.

“The father of the child stated that his mom took away his kid without his permission,” Holland said.

However, the two later told police they left the child to go shopping. When asked by Channel 2 what happened, Michilene said to “ask the father (because) he’s the one that decided to leave the baby ... he asked to watch a movie.”

Aziz and Michilene were booked into the North Fulton Jail Annex on reckless conduct charges and bonded out, the news station reported. The 2-year-old is in the custody of her grandparents pending the outcome of the DFCS investigation.
