Police have released a photo and a sketch of a man suspected of a robbery near the University of Georgia campus.

The robbery happened Saturday morning in the 300 block of Oconee Street, Athens-Clarke County police spokesman Geoffrey Gilland said in a news release.

No other information was provided.

It’s unclear if this robbery is linked to other recent Athens robberies, one on the UGA campus and the other nearby.

On Oct. 10, a student reported that two armed men robbed him of his cellphone, wallet, keys and headphones just outside Russell Hall, a residence hall for first-year students, AJC.com previously reported.

Earlier that day, another student reported being robbed by a man with a weapon in the 300 block of South Pope Street near Waddell Street. It’s not clear what type of weapon the suspect had.

No arrest have been made in those cases.
