Cops: Man killed wife, then himself in front of 2-year-old
Police believe a man killed his wife and then himself in a Chamblee park Saturday night, leaving their 2-year-old child to fend for itself.
Chamblee police spokesman Sgt. Tong Ngo said officers responded to a shots fired call Dresden Park, located at 2301 Dresden Drive, at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, authorities found a male and female deceased in the park.
The couple’s 2-year-old child was found nearby. The toddler was unharmed.
“Preliminary investigation indicates a domestic argument leading to the male shooting the female then himself,” Ngo said.
Ngo said detectives are attempting to notify the families of the victims. Their identities were not released.
