A South Georgia fire chief faces three charges after being accused of pointing a gun during a trespassing incident, authorities said.

Douglas fire Chief Larry Wilson faces two counts of pointing a pistol at another and one count of criminal trespass, Douglas police said in a Facebook post. He was arrested Monday in connection with an incident on New Year's Eve.

Officers obtained the arrest warrants after speaking with numerous victims and witnesses, the post said. More arrests are expected.

No other information on the incident was provided, but “separate administrative personnel action is pending,” police said.

Douglas is the county seat of Coffee County, located about 85 miles west of Albany and 210 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta.
