A woman faces DUI and vehicular homicide charges after she allegedly caused a wreck that killed a 74-year-old woman, Cobb County police said.

Tracy Latronica, 37, of Marietta, remained in the Cobb County jail Monday on a $5,720 bail. She also faces failure to yield and serious injury by vehicle charges.

About 9:30 p.m. Sunday, a silver 2012 Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Roswell Road when Latronica’s gray 2012 Ford Explorer travelling westbound attempted to turn left onto Robinson Road, Cobb County police Officer Sarah O’Hara said in a news release.

Latronica’s SUV collided with the Toyota, driven by a 15-year-old Marietta teen. Four occupants inside the car were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A fifth occupant, Begum Fazilatunnesa of Marietta, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Latronica did not require medical attention and was arrested.
