A Decatur teenager was arrested Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting in January that killed a man on his birthday, authorities said.

Jarius Anderson, 17, is accused of robbing and shooting Matthew McCullough in the 4000 block of Golf Vista Circle, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

McCollough was meeting someone to sell some video games when he ended up getting shot multiple times, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The release said Anderson stole various electronic gaming devices owned by McCollough before he shot him in the back, killing him.

Anderson is in the DeKalb County Jail facing charges of armed robbery and murder, according to jail records. He has been denied bond.
