A Conyers man has been arrested on charges of rape and armed robbery after allegedly luring a woman to a motel through a dating app, police said.

Anthony Reagan, 31, is accused of tying the victim’s hands behind her back, robbing her at gunpoint and sexually assaulting her, Conyers police spokesman Buck Vaughn said in a news release.

Police responded to a robbery complaint early Sunday at a Motel 6 at 1351 Dogwood Drive, the release said.

The victim told police she met Reagan through the Skout dating app. They had arranged to meet at the Motel 6, where the victim was living at the time, to exchange sexual favors for money, Vaughn said.

When Reagan arrived, he allegedly pointed the gun at the woman and tied her hands. He then sexually assaulted her and left after robbing her of cash and a cellphone, according to Vaughn.

Reagan was arrested at his Conyers home in the Millstead neighborhood area. Detectives were able to collect evidence at the time of the arrest, Vaughn said.

Reagan was booked into the Rockdale County Jail.
