A Cobb County woman has been charged following a crash that killed a motorcyclist, according to police.

Saundria Duncan, 36, of Marietta, was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield in the April 17 crash that killed 47-year-old Steven Winiarczyk, her arrest warrant states.

According to Cobb police, Duncan was driving a gray 2016 Dodge Charger southbound on Austell Road and Winiarczyk, of Dallas, was heading northbound on a white 2017 Honda CRF1000 motorcycle.

Investigators believe Duncan was turning left to enter the Milford Crossing Shopping Center when she hit Winiarczyk’s motorcycle. Winiarczyk was thrown from the bike and onto the road, according to police. Duncan was not injured.

Winiarczyk was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries and died the following day, police said.

Winiarczyk was a married father of three who loved music and riding his motorcycle, according to his online obituary.

On Wednesday, an arrest warrant was issued for Duncan and she surrendered, records show. She was released early Thursday after posting a $5,000 bond.
