A Cobb County Police Department employee was arrested Monday on a methamphetamine possession charge, prompting an internal investigation, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Angel Marie Hall, 38, of Smyrna, was taken into Marietta police custody on the felony count at 140 North Marietta Parkway, which is Cobb County Police Headquarters, jail records show. It’s unclear what position she holds within the department.

Cobb police launched an internal affairs investigation and placed Hall on administrative leave, Channel 2 reported. The department told the news station it would not comment on another department’s investigation.

Hall was booked into the county’s jail before being released later Monday on a $4,070 bond, records show. No further information on Marietta police’s criminal investigation was released.
