A woman was found dead by her 9-year-old grandson Saturday in the apartment where they lived, Atlanta police said.
About 5:40 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Hollywood Road, police said in a statement. They found the woman in the living room.
The woman had “injuries consistent with possible strangulation,” according to an investigator with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the actual cause of death. Homicide investigators processed the scene.
The woman’s identity and other information was not immediately available.
