Authorities seized 79 cats in DeKalb County in three separate hoarding cases, Channel 2 Action News reported Monday.

The seizures happened over the course of three days.

One person was cited for having 56 cats in an apartment Jan. 23, according to the news station. They were covered in urine when they were found.

Authorities cannot find the other two accused hoarders.

The Lifeline Animal Project shelter told Channel 2 some of the cats had respiratory infections.
