The boy’s mother had left him in the car while she went into a post office, and the car was gone when she returned.

Within minutes, police found the boy at school.

When the “two guys” who got in the car noticed him, the boy said, they told him they were there to take him to school, asked him which one was his and dropped him off.

The child’s mother had left her iPhone in the car and used an app to track it — and the car — to a spot about three miles away, where it had been abandoned.
