Police are again looking for a “career criminal” who is wanted in two counties after they say he went to his brother’s home in South Fulton and opened fire Monday.
Police said Lonnie Favors went to the home on Mozart Drive about 2 a.m. and sprayed the home with bullets, Channel 2 Actions News reported.
Neighbors told the news station they heard so many shots that the cul-de-sac sounded like a war zone. Favors’ brother wasn’t home, but his cousin who was inside was hit by one of the bullets.
Police said Favors is armed and dangerous, Channel 2 reported.
According to jail records, this is not the first time Favors has been accused of a violent crime. He has been arrested 38 times and booked into the Fulton County jail 19 times.
He was just 14 years old the first time he was arrested, according to Channel 2.
Favors was booked July 2008 on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, terroristic threats and obstruction. He served prison time in Macon starting in April 2009 and was released in April 2014.
Just two month later, he was arrested again on multiple charges, including aggravated assault against a peace officer and pointing or aiming a gun or pistol at another.
In 2015, Favors was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and terroristic threats and acts. He was ultimately transferred to Macon State Prison, where he served time until May 2016. He was on probation when he was arrested in January 2017 on multiple drug, weapons and traffic charges tied to an offense from December 2016.
Just this year, Favors has been arrested 10 times, Channel 2 reported. He was booked into the Fulton jail Jan. 5 on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal damage to property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
On Feb. 5, South Fulton police arrested Favors on battery and simple battery charges. He was released again 10 days later.
