Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the person who sent bullets flying through the walls of a Paulding County home Monday night.

Authorities were sent to the house on Lakemoore Court in Douglasville about 9:20 p.m., according to sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Ashley Henson. When they arrived, they found shell casings littering the street.

“The home had been shot a multitude of times,” Henson said.

Residents told detectives they initially thought someone was shooting fireworks outside the home. Then they saw the bullets, Henson said.

A man in the house was hit in the torso. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, Henson said.

“At this time, detectives do not have a suspect description, vehicle description or motive as to why this residence was targeted,” Henson said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s criminal investigations division at 770-443-3015.
