A Columbus man killed early Sunday was the older brother of a man killed a few weeks ago, police said.

The man shot Sunday was also wanted by Columbus police in connection with a homicide committed July 4, 2015, according to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

Terry Cobb, 29, was pronounced dead at 6:07 a.m. at Midtown Medical Center, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.

Kenneth Holloway Jr., who was killed June 18, is Cobb’s brother, Bryan told the newspaper. There was also a murder warrant for Cobb in connection with the homicide of Blake Berry, who was dropped off a year ago at Midtown Medical Center with fatal gunshot wounds.

Bryan said Cobb was found at the corner of Cusseta Road and 22nd Avenue with a gunshot wound.

Detectives were called to the scene around 5 a.m., shortly after patrol officers arrived.

Lt. Consuelo Askew said police were unsure if Cobb’s shooting was connected to his brother’s homicide.
