A 19-year-old man is wanted on three felonies, including rape, after a University of Georgia student reported that she was sexually assaulted off campus over the weekend.

Dionicio Guadarrama of Carnesville is wanted on counts of rape, aggravated sexual battery and sexual battery, Athens police said in a news release. Investigators obtained the arrest warrants Tuesday, two days after the alleged rape was reported by the 20-year-old student.

The alleged assault took place about 3 a.m. Sunday, AJC.com previously reported. The student told investigators she accepted a ride from two people after meeting them in downtown Athens.

A second person’s name has not been released by authorities, but police previously said they identified both suspects. It’s unclear whether warrants are pending against the unnamed suspect.

Guadarrama may have fled the area, police said. The image of him that police provided is a few years old, so he will appear a little older than depicted, the release said.

UGA spokesman Greg Trevor also told AJC.com that Guadarrama is not a student.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 706-546-5900 or call 911.
