Police believe a Thursday morning shooting at a Union City gas station was gang-related, and they hope the public will help them identify someone from surveillance footage.

Police want to question the unidentified subject about the incident, which left a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the face.

Officers were called to respond to the shooting at the Exxon at 6687 Roosevelt Highway around 1:30 a.m.

“The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition,” Union City police Lt. Christopher Murphy said. “Preliminary investigations show this incident to be gang-related.”
