A 17-year-old found dead outside a northwest Atlanta home Thursday morning may have been killed during a drug deal, police said.

“Our preliminary investigation reveals that this incident stems from a minor marijuana transaction gone bad,” Atlanta police officer Stephanie Brown said in a statement.

The teenager was found with a gunshot to his back outside a Delmar Lane residence, police said.

No suspects have been identified.

The shooting comes a week after three girls between the ages of 10 and 16 were shot in separate incidents in Atlanta. The shootings occurred within 24 hours of each other.
