DeKalb police spokesman J.D. Spencer told AJC.com on Monday that the wreck happened between Moreland Avenue and Flat Shoals Road around 3 p.m.
He said three people were taken to the hospital, one in critical condition and the other two with moderate to severe injuries.

All lanes were diverted to Flat Shoals Road at one point as delays stretched to I-75.
On Tuesday, DeKalb police spokesman Sgt. Emanuel McCown told AJC.com the driver of one of the tractor-trailers was going too fast to stop before hitting a stationary vehicle sitting in traffic.
McCown said the driver was issued a ticket for following too closely, and an investigation by the DeKalb police Traffic Specialist Unit is ongoing.
