Two women were killed and a man was injured in a triple shooting Wednesday night in Covington, police said.

One person is in custody in connection with the shooting, which occurred about 9 p.m. near Clark and West streets, Covington police spokesman Officer Justin Stott said in a statement. The injured man was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition has not been released.

The names of the victims and the person taken into custody also were not released.

Police have not said what led to the shooting.
