A woman is in custody after two people were shot during an altercation at a motel in DeKalb County, police confirmed.

The shooting happened Thursday afternoon at the Scottish Inn motel at 2565 Wesley Chapel Road, DeKalb police told AJC.com.

A man and woman were shot and taken to a local hospital, police said. Their conditions were not provided.

Korinji Williams-Smith, 26, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, police said.

No other details have been released.
