A 2-year-old girl was killed after she was ejected from a vehicle as it was hit by an “impatient driver” in Clayton County on Thursday night, police said.
The eight-car wreck near Jonesboro also sent three people to local hospitals, where two are listed in critical condition, police said in a news release. The third victim, a 4-year-old girl, is also in critical condition but expected to improve.
According to police, the driver of a 2008 Dodge Charger ran a red light at the intersection of Holiday Boulevard and Old Dixie Highway, causing the multicar pileup.
However, police did not arrest anyone at the scene due to an ongoing investigation.
No other details have been released.
