A package that caused a scare Thursday morning at Emory Healthcare's Woodruff Memorial Building was found to be harmless, an official said.

Emory police responded to 101 Woodruff Circle in Druid Hills after a suspicious package was discovered in the mail room. Alerts went out urging people to avoid the area.

However, an all-clear was issued after officials determined the package posed no threat, Emory spokeswoman Elaine Justice told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an email.

She did not disclose the contents of the package.
