Gwinnett County police are searching for two intruders after a man, his wife and their adult daughter were tied up during a deadly home invasion and shooting.

When Miguel Osorio, 44, tried to break free, an intruder shot him, Gwinnett police spokesman Jacob Albright said.

Officers responded to the incident about 3:35 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Scholar Drive after Osorio’s wife called 911.

When they arrived, they found Osorio dead with a gunshot wound in the foyer area of the home, Albright said.

Detectives later determined that two men wearing bright construction vests entered the home with guns and tied up Osorio, his 56-year-old wife and his 19-year-old daughter, according to Channel 2 Action News.

After shooting Osorio, both men ran from the home firing added shots but no one else was injured, police said.

The men were seen getting into a gold or tan SUV, where a getaway driver was waiting.

The names of the wife and daughter have not been released.
