The driver of a pickup truck faces a murder charge after he allegedly shot and killed another driver Monday, police said.

The man was shot when he confronted the pickup truck driver after a minor crash on I-285, DeKalb County police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said.

Names have not been released.

The shooting happened about 6:15 p.m. on I-285 southbound near the Ponce de Leon Avenue exit.

The man driving the pickup truck rear-ended the victim, who got out of his car to confront him, Campbell said. At one point during the altercation, the truck driver shot and killed the victim.

The truck driver was taken into custody and is being questioned. No names have been released.

The shooting caused major delays on the interstate. No other details were released.
