Police investigate deadly shooting at Riverdale townhomes

Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting at a townhouse complex in Riverdale, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Neighbors told the news station they heard gunshots at the Stonegate Townhomes in the 200 block of Roy Huie Road overnight.

A 33-year-old man was shot and killed, Riverdale police confirmed to Channel 2. He has not been identified.
Police called in the GBI to help process the crime scene.

The complex is next to Charles R. Drew High School and Riverdale Elementary School. School operations were expected to begin as normal Friday morning, but officials are monitoring the situation and will likely enhance school police presence near the campuses, a Clayton County Public Schools spokeswoman told AJC.com.
