A standoff between Sandy Springs officers and a home burglary suspect on Roswell Road ended when police shot the man Thursday afternoon, police said.

“Injuries do not appear to be life-threatening,” police said in a tweet. The suspect was taken to a hospital.

No officers were injured, according to police. The GBI will investigate the incident.

Police had closed Roswell Road in both directions from Hildebrand Drive to Hammond Drive while they attempted to catch the man, a spokesman said.

Three suspects were involved in the alleged burglary, and two were caught after a chase, police said.

The suspect was near a Dunkin’ Donuts in the 6000 block of Roswell Road when he was shot, police said.

Authorities confirmed the man shot at officers.
