A female pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in southeast Atlanta Friday evening, Atlanta police confirmed.

Officers responded to calls that a pedestrian was hit by a car in the 1000 block of Moreland Avenue, and they found a deceased woman when they arrived, Atlanta police spokeswoman Stephanie Brown told Channel 2 Action News.

Brown said they don’t have a description of the vehicle that may have been involved, and no other details have been released.
