Several people are in custody Monday afternoon after multiple shots were fired at a home in Paulding County, authorities said.

One man was shot in the leg during the incident and several vehicles were hit by gunfire in the 8000 block of Dallas Acworth Highway just before 3 p.m., Paulding County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Ashley Henson told AJC.com.

The man who was shot was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Henson said. The others involved were taken to the sheriff’s office to be interviewed.

Henson said it appears that an argument escalated, leading to multiple people firing shots. It’s unknown how many people were involved. He said the shooting “is not random.”

No other details were released. An investigation is ongoing.
